The CPS team just returned from Laserfiche Empower 2025 in Las Vegas—and it’s safe to say the future of content services has never looked brighter. With the unveiling of Laserfiche 12 and the significant buzz surrounding Smart Fields, this year’s conference was not only exciting but also transformative.

Let’s start with the obvious: Laserfiche 12 and Smart Fields stole the show. For anyone who's ever lost time manually indexing documents or managing inconsistent metadata, this update feels like a long-overdue sigh of relief. Smart Fields are poised to take the burden off human hands and hand it over to intelligent automation, where it belongs. The conversations we had with clients on the floor all centered on the same question: “When can we upgrade?” That enthusiasm speaks volumes about where the technology is headed—and how ready people are to leave repetitive tasks behind.

But Empower wasn’t just about product releases. It was about community—reconnecting with long-time clients, meeting new faces, and deepening relationships in a way that just can’t be done over Zoom.

We were thrilled to treat a large group of our clients to a well-deserved night out at StripSteak at the MGM. It was one of those evenings when the conversation flowed as easily as the wine.
